Mandair & Co was established in 1999. We have grown since then with a team of 15 dedicated experts at our practice, with experience in a vast range of accounting services from taxation and finance to business start-up advice.
Our accountants have worked with many different clients, large and small, from sole traders and social clubs to partnerships and limited companies. Why a chartered accountant, now
Apps and AI tools have made recording transactions easy — and we use them too. What they can't do is take responsibility for the result, or notice the thing you didn't think to ask about.
A chartered accountant's name goes on your accounts. We are regulated by the ICAEW and carry professional indemnity cover. Software carries neither. If a figure is ever questioned, you have a person who answers for it.
If a return is wrong, the penalty lands on you — not on the tool that produced it. We check the figures before they are filed, and if a question comes back from HMRC we deal with it on your behalf.

ACA · Managing Partner
Qualified as a chartered accountant in 1996 and, after gaining valuable experience in a local firm of accountants, set up Mandair & Co in 1999. Richard advises clients in general practice on all aspects of their business, including taxation, compliance and regulatory matters, and has grown the practice to a dedicated team of 15.
PA to Richard Mandair
Joined in September 2014 as a personal assistant and receptionist and has played a key role ever since. Tawny is the first point of contact at Mandair & Co, covering reception and administration, assisting the accounts team and acting as PA to Richard. Level 3 NVQ in Business Administration, now working towards AAT.
Accounts Assistant
Joined the office in 2021 having graduated with first class honours in accounting, and is now working towards completing her ACCA qualification. Her role covers accounts preparation, VAT returns and self-assessment tax returns for both sole traders and limited companies.
Assistant Accountant
Joined the team in June 2019 as a trainee accounts assistant and is currently working towards her AAT qualifications. Much of her day-to-day work involves accounts preparation, VAT returns and self-assessment tax returns for sole traders and limited companies.
Assistant Accountant
Joined the team in August 2018 as a semi-senior accounts assistant. Lauren is currently studying her ACCA and is hoping to soon be a chartered certified accountant.

Joined in December 2019. His duties include payroll, pensions and CIS (Construction Industry Scheme), with six years' experience behind him. BA (Hons) Applied Accounting, Anglia Ruskin University; Foundation Degree in Payroll Management, CIPP, University of Worcester.
